Dr. Alex Halasz (she/her), DVM

Dr. Alex Halasz is a New York City native with a deep-rooted passion for animal care. She earned her Master of Science in Biology from Auburn University, where her experience caring for a flock of canaries and managing their unique health concerns inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Halasz went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine before completing a specialized internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

After honing her skills out of state, Dr. Halasz returned home to New York City, where she has since practiced both emergency and primary care medicine for small animals and exotic pets. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, emergency medicine, ultrasound, and pain management. She is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with her patients' families and strives to provide the highest standard of care to every animal she treats.

Dr. Halasz is committed to medical excellence and the rewarding process of getting to know the unique needs of both her patients and their owners. Outside of the clinic, she is an avid cellist and reader. She also enjoys quilting, often creating custom pieces for her two beloved Pomeranians.
