Dr. Craig Randolph (he/him), DVM

Dr. Craig Randolph was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but has spent most of his life in the D.C. metro area. His career in veterinary medicine began at an early age, working as a kennel attendant in a local general practice.

Craig earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, and then moved to Florence, Italy, where he completed a master’s degree in European Union Studies. His love for veterinary medicine brought him back to the field, and he studied for his veterinary degree at Ross University in St. Kitts, West Indies. Craig very much enjoyed his time living abroad, and the opportunity it provided to learn about different cultures and customs.

After graduating from Ross University, Craig completed his clinical rotations at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine's Ryan Veterinary Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He took a special interest in anesthesia and pain-control, and stayed an additional six months to train in PennVet's anesthesia department as an intern. He then completed a year-long rotating internship in veterinary medicine, surgery, and emergency care at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ. Craig has since worked at a number of specialty hospitals in the D.C. metro area, gaining extensive experience in emergency medicine, as well as general practice.

Craig’s clinical interests include preventative medicine, safe anesthesia, pain management, emergency/urgent care, and client education. He particularly enjoys building long-term connections with his clients and their pets, and seeing the role that preventative and wellness care plays in their wellbeing.

In his free time, Craig enjoys participating in outdoor activities, watching sci-fi shows and movies, and playing video games. He lives locally with his 13 year old Labrador Retriever mix named Kaiah, who has been with him since veterinary school. You may see them out walking in nearby Meridian Hill Park!

Special Interests: Emergency/urgent care, general practice, safe anesthesia and pain management.
