Dr. Deianira Huettenmoser, VMD

Dr. Huettenmoser’s passion for animals began early in life, when she started raising Seeing Eye dogs as an elementary school student. In high school, she gained hands-on experience working at her hometown veterinary clinic in northern New Jersey—an experience that solidified her commitment to both animal care and medicine.
She pursued her interests academically at Clemson University in South Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Veterinary Science with minors in Biological Sciences and German Studies. During summer breaks, she worked as a veterinary nurse at a shelter surgical clinic to stay sharp with her clinical skills.
Dr. Huettenmoser earned her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) from the University of Pennsylvania. While in veterinary school, she balanced rigorous academics with hands-on work as a veterinary nurse at the PennVet Referral Center for Animal Models of Human Genetic Disease and at a local veterinary hospital. Her diverse experiences included performing free spay/neuter surgeries in the Dominican Republic and completing an externship with the FDA, which sparked her interest in public health.
Following graduation, she practiced in Philadelphia as a wellness and urgent care veterinarian before returning to her roots in northern New Jersey. Dr. Huettenmoser is excited to serve her home community while reconnecting with family and friends.
Outside of work, she enjoys dancing, exercising, crafting, traveling, caring for her plants, and spending time with her loved ones.
