Dr. Simone McLaughlin (she/her), BVetMed

Dr. Simone McLaughlin is the newest Managing Veterinarian at Spring Valley. Born and raised in New York City, Dr. McLaughlin recently relocated to the DMV area to support her husband’s pursuit of becoming a veterinary dental specialist. She earned her undergraduate degree from UMass Amherst and completed her veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2012. During her time abroad, Simone developed a passion for travel throughout the UK and Europe while gaining experience caring for a wide variety of animals.

Dr. McLaughlin has practiced veterinary medicine in New York City for over 12 years. She began her career with a strong focus on preventive care and client education, later expanding her clinical interests into urgent care and dermatology. Most recently, she has discovered a true passion for veterinary dentistry—much to her delight.

Dr. McLaughlin is committed to continuous learning, medical excellence, and fostering strong leadership and teamwork within a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog Archie, her family—including her two boys—and exploring all that the DMV area has to offer.

Special Interests: Preventive care, client education, urgent care, dermatology, and dentistry.
