Dr. Seth Bishop

Seth joined Small Door in 2019 as a Staff Veterinarian. Originally from western Pennsylvania, he graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Animal Sciences. He received a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from veterinary school, Seth completed a year-long rotating internship at Pieper Memorial Veterinary Hospital in Connecticut with a focus on neurology, surgery, and emergency medicine. During this training, he worked closely with specialists in the field to advance his knowledge base, which he integrates into his clinical practice. Outside of veterinary medicine, Seth is passionate about culinary arts - cooking, wine, and exploring new restaurants. He is a strong proponent for mental health advocacy and has worked with several non-profit organizations to promote healthy, open dialogue about mental illness. He believes in promoting help-seeking behaviors and removing the stigma on mental illness - for both his profession and all people. He lives with his orange cat rescued from the streets of Philadelphia, Chuck.
