Dr. Lauren Baral (she/her)

Dr. Lauren Baral is a Southern California native with a deep-rooted passion for animal care. She first made the venture East to attend Boston University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and fell in love with New England's seasons. Dr. Baral went on to earn her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London, focusing her training on small animal medicine, emergency and critical care, and ophthalmology.

After graduating, she returned to the East coast to complete a specialized internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in Rhode Island, where she gained invaluable experience in high-pressure emergency care. Dr. Baral spent the next six years honing her skills in general practice in Rhode Island before returning to Massachusetts to join the Small Door team. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, emergency care, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. She is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with her patients' families and strives to provide the highest standard of care to every animal she treats.

Dr. Baral is committed to medical excellence and the rewarding process of getting to know the unique needs of both her patients and their owners. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys going to live music shows and tending to her ever-growing houseplant collection. She also loves hanging out with her boyfriend and their two beloved cats.
